Answers to common questions we get asked at Insequa

Okay, we admit it! The job we do is pretty ‘niche’ – tender writing, policies and compliance support  aren’t the most high-profile of business support services. We’d expect you to have a lot of questions. Below you will find a small selection of popular queries that will hopefully help enlighten you. And if your question doesn’t appear on the FAQ list – don’t hold back. We’d love to hear from you. Just pick up the phone…

How do you represent our voice?
In the first instance our sales team introduce  you to the bid writing team. They will get to know you and your ‘tone’ through conference calls, and will replicate this in their responses. Your individual voice is your USP and we ensure this gets emphasis throughout the bid. The Insequa team, from management through to writers and evaluators, have social care experience. This sector knowledge helps inform and shape true representation of your voice.
Are you familiar with the social care sector?
Good question. When you call on us for help, you need to know we speak your language. Tender writing is frequently carried out under time pressures, so wasting precious hours explaining the basics isn’t an option. We understand this, that’s why the only people you’ll ever work with at Insequa have a solid grounding in the health and social care sector.

Since our inception five years ago, we have successfully completed numerous social care tenders. We make it our business to stay up to date and informed of the commissioning agenda and are attuned to the current emphasis on choice, independence and control. So the answer to the question is a resounding ‘Yes!’

How much do you charge?
That depends on what we do for you. Our input varies from job to job, so it’s impossible to put a figure on it. Our prices are competitive and our quotes completely transparent, and once a price is agreed upon, it’s a deal. At Insequa we don’t do hidden extras or last minute price hikes – you pay the agreed amount, and that’s it.
What are you like to work with?

We are professional, committed and friendly, according to our clients!

What happens first?
Every job starts with a no-obligation discussion of your needs during which we’ll explore with you if and how we can help. We don’t take on clients where we don’t feel the outcome will be of benefit to them. In this instance, we provide free professional advice on the next steps the client should take to become fit to compete in the future.

Once we understand the nature of the work and the scale of our input, we’ll discuss costs and prepare a written breakdown that will be emailed to you to consider. Assuming you agree to go ahead and engage us, we will normally begin work straight away.

Do I need to visit your offices?
The entire process can be conducted remotely with the use of telephone conference calls, email, Skype, text and other communication technology, coupled with cloud storage – this is our usual method of working.

Of course, you are very welcome to visit our offices situated on a beautiful rural country estate in the East Midlands, and we’d understand if you were tempted – but if you’d prefer not to, then we’d understand that, too. Your time is precious and anything we can do to make the process as efficient and smooth-running as possible, we will do.

How can you know our company if you don’t visit?
Sometimes we will need to work onsite with you – training, for example. But a lot of the time we find working remotely is far more efficient as well as being more environmentally friendly.

When it comes to tender writing, it is often better dealing with you from afar as that way we experience your business strengths in the same way commissioners do. Working remotely ensures we don’t become influenced by features of your company that won’t appear in the written document.

Why should we choose you?
Because we are the leading specialists in tender writing for the social care sector – we are not generalists. We only focus on health and social care, so you can be sure we understand the nature of your business and the service you deliver. And if that doesn’t sway you, then our audited win rate of over 90% might change your mind.
